New website up
After a long time working with my own custom joomla version, I decided its time to give it a slight overall
(Especially for working with bigger resolutions

Please be aware that some old stuff is still missing until
I shift all stuff to the new server

This is a quick article, cobbled together in a low amount of time. This project needed to be done now, since its a requirement for two
seperate projects I'm working on.

Looking at my current solution, a backdrop stand from a cheap chinese photo studio set. I bought several years ago
It was obvious it would not support the projects I currently working on:

The cloth is to small to attach it to the poles, and the construction is very flimsy.
So if I would invest in a cloth anyway, I plan to go with 3.0m x 3.0m stage molton, wich due to its weight would
add additional instability to the setup. But on the pro side would eliminate my wrinkle problem (that was the plan).

So searching for an alternative solution, wich is quickly to setup, has a certain stability and
is still portable and small enough to fit in my environment
I was quickly disapointed by the current of the shelf offerings. Besides beeing out of my budget,

So getting more and more into rant mode, I wrote a twitter post, that I just need another horizontal bar at the lower
end of the stands for extra stability. And since an image does say more than words, I quickly sketched out
a 3D Model of the stands with the modifications.

And by doing so I realised, that this would be a perfect 3d print job. I just need an additional backdrop stand of the
same type (wich costs less than 20 bucks) and 2 M10 screws. So in the sub 25 buck range I could seriously update
my current setup.

Here are the design choices I made (the fun part) designing the little "clamp"

Maybe I release the design on thingiverse. But for this I have to redo the design to be publisheable
Again as said, sorry for the hastily cobbled together content.
(Especially the video...these clips are shot with aviable light / and mostly in one takes).
